PADet envisions a transformed society where children, youth and women are living better and secured lives
Mission
Support vulnerable children, women and youths in their effort to improve their wellbeing through delivery of integrated, sustainable and quality programs on sexual reproductive health, prevention of HIV/AIDS, child protection, women empowerment, food security/livelihood promotion and better migration management
Values
Integrity: Upholding the principles of honesty, responsibility, setting a good example and maintaining the highest ethical standards possible.
Courage of conviction: This is a pledge to fight against poverty and hunger. Therefore, PADet always sides with the poorest and disadvantaged people, helping them bring about positive changes in their life.
Accountability: This embraces PADet’s ongoing commitment to account for its actions, to respond periodically to questions concerning its activities or answer to those who will be affected by our decisions or actions.
Transparency: This requires PADet to take decisions and implement them in a manner that follows rules and regulations.
Impartiality and equity: These imply providing equal opportunity to all. Thus, no discrimination whatsoever.
Program Implementation Strategies
PADet is operational in five administrative regions that include Addis Ababa, Amhara, Benishangul, Oromiya, Afar, it implements 11 projects in 26 districts with a total portfolio of Birr 35 million for 2020 aimed at addressing 187,964 target beneficiaries directly (50% female).

Governance and Leadership
- Administratively, PADet is led by a board which is a high-level decision making organ meeting on quarterly basis; Board of directors provides strategic direction constituting five members (2 Female and 3 men) and meeting 4 times in year and extra ordinary meetings when there are some issues.
- The Executive Director is accountable to the board and responsible for the execution of day to day activities of the organization, ED is supported by the management body comprised of Admin and finance manager and program director.
- The technical team is led by program director, and it has member of program managers, M&E focal point, branch managers and project coordinators. The technical team is responsible for program designing and implementation.
- The finance and admin unit is led by admin and finance manager and it has personnel officer, admin assistant, accountants, cashier, drivers etc responsible for managing and administering staffs, properties and other logistics and finance, both teams are accountable to the ED.
Staffing structure (full time, part-time and volunteers)
- The organization is gradually building its staff in terms of numbers, diversity and capacity. In terms of human power, it has grown from one staff to 101[F=28] full time staff, of which 50.9 % have first and second degrees (with background in Social work, Sociology, Nurse/Health, Gender, Agriculture, other social sciences and Accounting) and others 50.1% holding diploma and certificate.
- Currently, PADet have more than 200 volunteers (local and international) supporting implementation of projects.
Collaboration and Networking
- PADet is a member of various networks and consortiums at regional and national level of which Non State Actors Coalition, United Religion Initiative having affiliation with global interfaith peace building initiatives; Consortium of Reproductive Health /CORHA, Population, Health and Environment/PHE, and Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Association/CCRDA are the major ones.
