PADet’s work is guided by six key thematic focus areas that together drive our mission to empower communities, promote equity, and enhance well-being across Ethiopia. Each area is interconnected, reflecting PADet’s holistic and community-centered approach to sustainable development.
1. Sexual and Reproductive Health & HIV/AIDS
PADet promotes equitable access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and services for youth, women, and vulnerable populations. Our interventions focus on comprehensive sexuality education, family planning, HIV prevention, and gender equality.
By collaborating with schools, health centers, and local organizations, PADet ensures that communities—especially adolescent girls and young women—can make informed decisions about their health and future.
Our Track Record
- “Yene Raey” / My Body My Future 2 (MBMF2) – In partnership with Plan International Ethiopia, this project operates in Fagita Lakoma and Bahir Dar Zuria woredas of the Amhara region. It strengthens adolescent SRH knowledge, access to services, and gender-equitable practices.
- Community-Based HIV/AIDS Prevention Program – Promotes awareness and testing, provides psychosocial support for people living with HIV, and strengthens local response mechanisms.
